Small Classes, Big Food and Good Times at the New Orleans Cooking Experience

New Orleans is often said to be the only city where diners plan their next meal while still eating their last. That may be because eating the meal is only part of the experience. The smell of onions and butter filling up a room, a few drops of red wine splashing onto a white apron, warm conversation and Southern wit— these are the things that make a meal here an event. At NOCE you won’t just learn to cook Cajun and Creole haute cuisine, you’ll sink your teeth into a slice of New Orleans’ history and culture.

Lunch and Dinner Classes

In each class at our cooking school we create a four-course meal. Cooking classes are limited to 12 students and set in a small, intimate atmosphere for maximum interaction with our teaching chefs. The teaching portion of class lasts about 2 ½ hours with the students joining the chef around our teaching island. Following class, we sit down to enjoy our four-course meal with a lively dinner party.

The $165 per-person class fee includes:

  • Instruction
  • A complete recipe packet
  • Wine service for the duration of class and the meal
  • All taxes and gratuities.

We also have group discounts for three or more.

Cooking Vacations

The New Orleans Cooking Experience is currently offering two vacation cooking programs.

Our Long Weekend Getaway starts at $410 per person and includes:

  • Offered Thursday through Saturday
  • Two classes and Dinner at the famous Brigtsen’s Restaurant
  • You may select the days of your choice for your dinner out and for your classes

Our Weekend Getaway starts at $310 per person and includes:

  • Dinner class on Friday
  • Lunch class on Saturday

Private Cooking Classes

Private cooking classes are the perfect way to celebrate the culinary lovers in your life and they are available just about any day of the week. For groups of 7-12, The New Orleans Cooking Experience is a spectacular setting for birthdays, anniversaries, business entertaining, couples cooking classes, girlfriend getaways, and other special occasions. Customized menus for both lunch and dinner are available in our residential teaching kitchen and private dining room.

Corporate Cooking Events

For over nine years the New Orleans Cooking Experience has served up some of the finest, liveliest corporate events in New Orleans for groups of 7-100+.
